ADAM MILLER

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Adam Miller joined Knight Transportation in September 2002. He was appointed CFO of the Knight-Swift parent company and President of Swift Transportation in November of 2020. Following the merger with Swift Transportation in September 2017, Mr. Miller was appointed as the CFO of Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. Before the merger, he served as CFO for Knight from May 2012, and also served as the Secretary and Treasurer from February 2011. Prior to becoming CFO of Knight Transportation, Mr. Miller served as the Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance from February 2011 to May 2012 and as Controller of Knight Refrigerated, LLC from January 2006 to February 2011. Prior to his appointment as Controller of Knight Refrigerated, LLC, Mr. Miller served in several other accounting and finance positions at Knight since 2002. Mr. Miller earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Arizona.

KEVIN QUAST

CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Kevin Quast was appointed Swift Transportation’s Chief Administrative Officer in November of 2020, following his role as Chief Operating Officer beginning September of 2017 after the completion of the merger with Knight Transportation. The Swift and Knight entities operate separately under the single combined Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc. parent company. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Mr. Quast joined Knight Transportation in January 1996. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer beginning in February 2011. Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Knight, Mr. Quast served as the Business Unit Leader for the Southeast beginning in May 2010. Prior to his appointment as Business Unit Leader for the Southeast, Mr. Quast served in several senior sales and operations positions since 2001 and in other operating departments since 1996.

MIKE RUCHENSKY

CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER

Mike Ruchensky joined Swift Transportation in 2003 as Vice President and Chief Information Officer.  Following the merger with Knight Transportation in September 2017, Mr. Ruchensky transitioned to his current role as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc., and is responsible for all areas of Knight-Swift Holdings.  Prior to Knight-Swift, MR. Ruchensky held numerous technology positions at AlliedSignal, Sara Lee and J-Del.

Mr. Ruchensky holds a BA in Accounting from Ottawa University and an MBA from Baker University. 

RACHEL MONTI

CHIEF HUMAN RESOURCE OFFICER

Rachel Monti joined Swift Transportation in May 1998, beginning her tenure in pricing after which she helped lead quality assurance ISO certification efforts.  Starting in 2000, Ms. Monti began serving in human resource positions of increasing responsibility.  Ms. Monti has held the top leadership position in Human Resources for more than 10 years, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.  Ms. Monti earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of South Alabama and her Master of Counseling degree from the University of Phoenix.  She holds multiple professional certifications in the human resources specialty.

JIM FITZSIMMONS

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF FLEET OPERATIONS 

Mr. Fitzsimmons has served as the Executive Vice President of Operations at Swift since September 2018. Mr. Fitzsimmons joined Swift in 1993 and has held numerous leadership positions. Prior to his current position, Mr. Fitzsimmons served as Regional Vice President from 2006-2018 and Senior Vice President of Operations from January 2018 to September 2018. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Arizona State University. 

TIMOTHY S. HARRINGTON

EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES

Harrington joined Swift in 1997.  He has served as Executive Vice President of Sales since May 2018.  Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice President of Sales, Mr. Harrington served as Regional Vice President of Sales from 2006 to 2011 and from 2016 to 2018.  From 2011 to 2016, Mr. Harrington served as Vice President of Network Operations.  Prior to these roles, Mr. Harrington served in several leadership positions in sales and operations.  Mr. Harrington earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota.

MARK DEERE

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF DEDICATED SERVICES 

Mark Deere is Senior Vice President of Swift Dedicated Fleet Services, one of the nation’s largest dedicated fleet providers.  During his 16-year Swift career, he has also held executive leadership roles in both Dedicated and Linehaul Operations, including stints as VP Customer Service, VP Network Capacity Management, VP Western Operations and VP Dedicated Sales.  He joined Swift via the MS Carriers acquisition in 2001.   

Mark is a 30+ year veteran of the transportation industry with prior leadership roles as Senior VP Operations at Transport Industries and President of Lake Shore-Pacific Corporation, along with multiple managerial roles at CRST International and Hormel Foods.  

Mark holds both a BBA in Finance and an MBA from the University of Iowa.
