Swift Owner-Operators Can Also Train New Drivers

Mentoring opportunities are not only limited to company drivers. Swift Owner-Operators can also train new drivers as Independent Contractor Training Consultants (ICTCs). Like the mentorship program for company drivers, becoming an ICTC also presents additional income opportunities.

Leon is a Swift Owner-Operator and training consultant. He’s had a successful career as an Owner-Operator, paying off his lease truck, and suggests that teaching new drivers makes the road safer for everyone.

“Experienced drivers should probably want to train newer drivers, cause one of the biggest complaints with experienced drivers is how inexperienced everyone else on the road is,” he says. “It’s your own way of making the road a little easier if you know that you have a hand in training the next crop of drivers that are out there on the road.”
