Below are a few useful resources that drivers can refer to for supplemental support during this pandemic.
Supporting our Drivers
It is critical to know that at Swift, you are not alone and have resources to support your mental and physical well-being. Please checkout the portal for a Swift Well-being Resource document that includes telehealth information, virtual fitness classes and more.
We understand that you may be worried to come to an unfamiliar place with new people, especially during this time. We want to assure you that at Swift, the health and safety of our students and employees is our number one priority. To prevent the contamination and spread of COVID-19, we’ve included the following precautionary measures within our Swift Academies and Swift Driver Qualification locations:
- Mask requirement; disposable masks available if needed
- 6-feet distance requirement where possible
- Temperature checks
- Virtual learning options
- Limited group gatherings; limited people in truck
- Cleaned and sanitized trucks and bunks
- Daily facility cleaning and sanitization
- Ample hand sanitizer
- Single occupancy for those coming into a hotel
- Prescreen questionnaire prior to visiting Swift

Earlier this year, KNX companies announced the following changes for drivers:
- Intensified cleaning and sanitation of all trucks
- Enhanced cleaning and sanitation of all terminals
- Virtual training classroom options for new Driving Associates
- Respecting social distancing during all training and onboarding processes
- Drivers and support staff that test positive will be compensated (and will not need to use their PTO)

Essential Workers Letter
As we monitor the COVID-19 outbreak, it is imperative to understand that the transportation industry is essential to our country. To those individuals who are working at our facilities across the country to support our driving force, please follow the CDC recommendations on cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, products, and clothing. For those of you that are traveling to and from work, please keep a copy of this letter with you for reference, if needed. It is available on the Company Portals, or your Driver Leader can send you a copy.
